My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

And that's it!
9 Oct 2023It took more than a month, but with some encouragement, support, and perseverance, I have completed my 500km cycling goal for the Great Cycle Challenge!
I didn't quite hit my fundraising goal and that's okay. I'm very grateful for all the donations received. If you haven't donated yet, there's still time to celebrate with me. If i remember correctly, my fundraising page remains active until the end of October.
Thank you so much for everyone who has donated and/or cheered me on and offered encouragement! Your support for the cause means the world to me!

This year, I learned how crucial it is for me to have external motivation to help me press through challenges. If I can apply that to other areas in my life, like folding laundry, imagine how productive I'd become!! ๐

A great day today
14 Sep 2023I am so blessed to have some amazing people in my life.
Yesterday, I felt defeated and frustrated that I haven't been able to get out on my bike this month. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to keep going. I figured I might as well stop kidding myself and just give up.
But then I received some encouraging messages asking me how they could help? Offering to ride with me and even FOR me to help me reach my goal. Providing kind and encouraging words. Helping me to break it down a bit and to re-frame my "why". Giving me some accountability to get myself out the door and on my bike even if I feel too tired or too busy or just too done.
These are the people who got me out the door today. It was a beautiful day and it felt great to be out again. I rode downtown and enjoyed how quiet the beaches and parks were compared to the summer. The cooler weather is much more pleasant than the energy-sapping heat we had in August.
I don't know if I can complete my 500km distance goal by the end of September, but today - today, I feel like maybe it's possible.
Thank you to my supporters. Thank you for the donations. If you haven't donated, please consider doing so and help me keep going.
We can make a difference and find better treatments and even a cure if we keep the research going. We can provide support to kids and their families who are fighting right now for their little lives.
