My Story

On January 27, 2019, my then 4 month old son Malcolm was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). For the following 7 months, Malcolm went through 5 rounds of chemotherapy. By the end of his treatment he had been in the hospital longer than he had been out. Despite all this, Malcolm kept smiling. He showed us all how strong the human spirit can truly be. I am riding for Malcolm.

I am also riding for Caroline, another infant leukemia survivor. She was a few months ahead of Malcolm in treatment and Carolyn and I followed her journey. She was just over a year past her last round of chemo when she relapsed. This little warrior is currently going through a bone marrow transplant and continues to fight. Malcolm and I will be thinking of her as we ride.

I’m scared to think of where Malcolm would be without going through cancer treatment. If you are able, please donate to this great cause. My son is living proof that it saves lives.
