My Story
For the seventh year, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer.
What began as a simple way to give back has become deeply personal. Cancer has touched the lives of people I love, and I ride because no child should have to face this disease.
This year, my goal is to cycle 500 km and raise $10,000 to support SickKids Foundation and the life-saving research they fund.

Por séptimo año consecutivo, participo en el Great Cycle Challenge para ayudar a combatir el cáncer infantil.
Lo que comenzó como una forma sencilla de aportar mi granito de arena se ha convertido en algo muy personal. El cáncer ha tocado la vida de personas que quiero, y creo firmemente que ningún niño debería tener que enfrentar esta enfermedad.
Este año, mi meta es recorrer 500 km y recaudar $10,000 para apoyar a SickKids Foundation y la investigación que salva vidas.

Small Goals Build the Big Goal
17 Aug 2026Ya alcancé mi meta de recaudar $10K+ y voy en camino hacia la otra meta: los kilómetros. 🎉
Voy a los 500 km y aunque se nos han atravesado varios obstáculos, seguimos…. Por qué? Porque no me he quedado viendo solo ese número gigante al final. Me he enfocado en las metas chiquitas: los kilómetros de hoy, la salida de esta semana. Y así es la vida, ¿no?
A veces nos abrumamos cuando nos ponemos metas grandes. Vemos el número final y tan solo de verlo tan lejos, ya perdimos las ganas aveces inclusive antes de empezar. Pero esa meta gigante está hecha de cientos de mini metas, y son esas las que vamos logrando cada día, las que nos dan la energía para seguir pedaleando poquito a poquito hasta llegar a la meta grande.
No dejemos que la meta grande se vea tan lejos que no nos deje celebrar las pequeñas metas del camino. Cada kilómetro cuenta, cada logrito merece su aplauso, porque al final es la suma de esos pasitos la que se convierte en la gran meta cumplida.
Hoy celebro lo que ya logré, y sigo pedaleando con gratitud, paciencia, y seguridad de que cada paso me acerca más a la meta.

I've already hit my goal of raising $10K+, and now I'm on my way to the next one: the kilometers. 🎉
I’m heading toward 500 km and even with a few bumps along the way, I’m still on track. Why? Because I haven't been focused only on that big number at the end. I've been focused on the small goals: today's kilometers, this week's ride. And isn't that just how life works?
Sometimes big goals overwhelm us. We look at the final number and, just from seeing how far away it is, we lose our motivation before we even start. But that big goal is actually made up of hundreds of mini goals — and those are the ones we hit every day, the ones that give us the energy to keep pedaling, little by little, until we reach the big goal.
Let's not let the big goal feel so far away that it keeps us from celebrating the small goals along the way. Every kilometer counts, every little win deserves a cheer, because in the end it's the sum of those small steps that adds up to the big goal accomplished.
Today I'm celebrating what I've already achieved, and I keep pedaling with gratitude, patience, and the certainty that every small step brings me closer to the goal.

No tengo palabras suficientes para expresar lo que significa su apoyo para mí. Este Match Day, los que me apoyan $$ realmente lo dieron todo, y cada donación —grande o pequeña— me acerca un poco más a la meta.
Este mes he estado pedaleando con un propósito: 1 mes, 1 meta, luchar contra el cáncer. Cada kilómetro que recorro es en honor a quienes libran esta batalla, y cada dólar recaudado ayuda a financiar investigación e innovación que salvan vidas.
