Hello,

My name is Michael Riley, and I am honored to be participating in The Great Cycle Challenge for the fourth year, now as a Champion Rider!

One hundred percent of donations go directly to SickKids Hospital.

I began this journey in 2021. As a new father to my beautiful daughter Emma, my priorities changed quickly. I realized how fortunate I was to have a healthy child, which, sadly, is not the case for everyone. Since becoming a father, I've felt a strong drive to help others through events like the GCC.

Here's a look at my progress over the years:

- 2021: Raised $7,300 and rode 640 km. - Grand Ride - Pickering to Burlington!

- 2022: Raised $16,356 and rode 1,018 km. - Grand Ride - Markham to Niagara Falls!

- 2023: Raised $23,067 and rode 1,255 km. - Grand Ride - Markham to Montreal!

- 2024: Raised $31,837 and rode 1,518km. - Grand Ride - The Circumference of Lake Ontario! Markham - Markham.

But wait, there's more!!! This year (2025) I am taking this challenge to the next level. I will be embarking on a mission! A 1,425 km solo bike packing journey around the Ring Road of Iceland! Look out cancer, because I'm coming!!!!

I'm incredibly grateful to be part of this amazing event and look forward to many more years of participation.
