My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

Encouragement
6 Aug 2023Yesterday I set my own personal record of 50 kms. I pushed myself to do one more lap and wanted to stop and turn back half way through, and that was when I saw the hawk under the bridge. Anybody that really knows me, knows that in hawks I feel the presence of my father, who passed a year ago. I felt like it was him there cheering me on. I kept going and finished the full lap with his encouragement. ❤️

Kick Cancer's Butt Day Aug 9th
5 Aug 2023If you are thinking about donating, WAIT until August 9th when the Garron family will match your donation. That means more for the kids.
After the first four days of this challenge I have to say I am feeling so grounded, powerful and calm. I set a goal each time I start a ride and trust me, there are times I want to cut it short, but I remind myself that the kids fighting cancer don't always get the chance to ride a bike again and what they are going through is way worse than being hot, sweaty a little sore. At the end of my ride I try to find a place to take my shoes off and literally ground myself with the earth and just breathe and appreciate life.
