This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

  • First weekend down
    5 Aug 2024

    With the first long weekend of August being a long one, I took full advantage of that and the great weather. 101 kms down and 199 kms to reach my goal. I will definitely try to exceed that! The way I look at this challenge, is no matter how tired and hard it may get for me, it pales in comparison to the struggles the kids with cancer go through. I am grateful for the opportunity to help make a difference no matter how small.

    I ride to help raise money for kids cancer research and treatments. I started doing this when a friend of mine who rode every year in this challenge, asked me to take her place when she became too sick with cancer herself to continue riding. I chose to carry on her legacy.
