  • A Sunny Tuesday
    27 Jun 2017

Today was a beautiful day to be out on our bicycles & many others apparently had the same idea. there were a lot of people enjoying the trails today. Besides having the opportunity to take in some of the scenery, we also had a doe & fawn cross our path. While taking a rest at Tantallon's Bike & Bean, we met a friendly gentleman who was riding a paratrooper's folding bike circa 1944. He proceeded to tell us about cycling Nova Scotia's famous Cabot Trail on a penny farthing ( approx 312 kms ) circa 1890's a decade ago. The interesting people you meet along the way.

  • Ran into a friend today on the Shearwater Flyer Trail
    14 Jun 2017

I spotted a young deer on the trail 7 stopped to take its photo ( just over Merv's left shoulder in the shadow ) & warned Merv & another cyclist to watch out for it. Merv stopped but the other cyclist did not see it until it jumped out in front of her. Luckily no collision occurred. Nice to see the wildlife & flora such as trilliums, star flowers, & lady slippers in bloom along the trails too.

  • You never know who you will run into on a ride
    2 Jun 2017

Today, just as we were finishing our ride & happen to run into one of our RE/MAX nova colleagues Dan Cyr who was just leaving a potential client's home. He joked that some people are busy working while we are out cycling. Unknown to Dan we had already booked 2 listing appointment for next week & picked up 2 buyer clients & showed a condo all before lunch hour. LOL Once I explained to Dan that we were cycling for charity he quickly dug into his pockets & gave us the $3 he had. So if anyone prefers to give us cash, e will gladly accept it, give you recognition for it & simply add it to the total at the end by putting it on our personal credit card.

  • $500 raised to fight kids' cancer!

I just hit $500 to fight kids' cancer! Thank you so much for your support.

  • 26 May 2017

This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

    Thank you.

    Merv
