Welcome to my Great Cycle Challenge Page!

The GCC is a fundraiser where you set a personal goal of how many kms you feel you can accomplish in the month of August, raising funds through this challenge to support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

This year I've decided to do things a little bit different. In 2020 I cycled across most of BC (and raised a whopping $2728.00) This year I'm taking off from my home on Vancouver island and heading towards my hometown of Parkhill Ontario, about 4000kms away.

Unfortunately, I'm not a super athlete (or an athlete period) that can accomplish that distance in the month of August alone and will be heading out the end of May, with any luck be reaching my destination early August. This means any kms I put in before August will not count towards the challenge, but I'm ok with that!

I wish to deeply thank all of you that have supported me in the past. This is my 5th year riding in this challenge with a total of $6,852.47 raised so far. I've set a fundraising goal of $2000.00 for this year.

Knowing so many amazing people I look up to touched by this disease my thoughts of you will be with me on this ride.
