I am Riding for my late mother (Mosammat Shamima Nazneen), whom I lost to ovarian cancer. I was fortunate enough to be by her side as she fought this deadly disease. Through out this time I watched this disease destroy her physically and mentally to a point where I didn't even recognize her anymore. The physical pain of the tumors growing and spreading inside of her was unbearable to watch. Only thing I could do was stand beside her bed and lie to her with these empty words “everything will be alright, the chemo will work”. The chemo didn’t work.

One of my childhood friend lost his mother to ovarian cancer. Another friend lost both of her parents to cancer within a year. Her mother lost the battle to Multiple Myeloma (Blood cancer) and her father lost to bladder cancer. Bless their souls.

The pain and suffering breaks even the strongest adults. I can’t begin to imagine how it affects the children and the parents who have to watch helplessly. Your support will save little lives.
