Every year in August, I take part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer. Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

I dedicate my ride again this year to two very special people. Little Mason, a friend of our family, and Trevor Dennis, the son of my sis, who lost his life last summer.

This is my 3rd summer riding for this fundraiser. I'll be 74 years young this summer and I am riding again with the results of a ski injury but this fund-raiser is very important to me. I have four grandsons who mean the world to me - they are my world - and I am so thankful that they are healthy!!

Last summer I battled with severe smoke which limited my rides big time due to my asthma but this year I will continue on my "ride across Canada" by riding the roads of Kelowna B.C.
