My Story
This August, Ken, Summer, and I are joining special forces with 2 other Magic City Chorus members, along with our entire chorus; to participate in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer in Saskatoon and area!!♋️👶🩷🚴❤️🎶👶
Why? Because we care and right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.😢
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. Personally, we are aware of 4 children who had cancer and 3 of them survived to become adults! 💯❤️❤️💯❤️
So we are raising funds through this incredible challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support us by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your valued support will change little lives.
Thank you from Ken, Summer and the rest of Magic City Chorus!!! ♋️🚴🎶❤️🎼👶👶🩷

Gratitude
11 Aug 2026As I mentioned in my last blog, Ken and Summer are now riding entirely on my behalf for Team Magic City Chorus!
I could not be more grateful for this amazing husband and daughter of mine!
Summer had not been on a bike ride with her Dad and me since she was 15 years old and now she’s riding on behalf!!!!
My heart swells at the thought of my family’s love, commitment, and dedication to Magic City Choruses goal to raise $5000 for kids with cancer.
Forever grateful!!!! 💯🩷

Family Backs Up Family!!!!
9 Aug 2026Unfortunately, I hurt my already slightly injured left knee while biking on an electric bike in beautiful Waskesiu.
I was on a nice family vacation.
I was devastated both physically and emotionally. 😢
However, the beautiful part of this blog is that my right and left wing people, Ken and Summer, seeing me crying indicated not to worry, they will take over all the ridership duties until I can bike again.
It was what I’ve always taught my 23 year old daughter since the day she was born: “family backs up family”.
Seeing my teaching in action warmed my heart and soul; and most of all I felt a deep sense of gratitude, respect, understanding, and peace.
Family backs up family. 💯❤️💯❤️💯

Our Beautiful City and Part of our Fam Jam!
3 Aug 2026Tonight, with it being so darn windy, we stuck to within 2.5 km of our own beautiful downtown neighborhood.
Yesterday it was 28 degrees when we ride and very calm, but tonight it was 20 degrees and extremely windy lol!
What a contrast! ☀️ 💨
That’s a magic about gliding down long avenues after trudging and struggling on the uphill climb. 🆙
I was going so fast when I hit some gravel and uneven road on a speedy downhill descent.
For a fleeting moment I was terrified, but taken back in time to my dare devil days of being a kid lol!!! 😝
The crazy things we did on bikes!🚲
If only our parents knew!!! 🤔
One time we built a one foot high jumping ramp and I made it over safely about 10 times.💯
Then, I did a real Kamikaze 🤪move and launched way up right into a sprawling heap. OUCH!!!🤕 ❤️🩹
I tore the skin of my right wrist and still have the scar to prove it. 🩹
I took it a little easier on my bike after that lol.
It’s funny how doing things as an adult brings us back to our cherished, hilarious, and sometimes, painful memories! 💕
