I am honoured to participate in the Ride to Fight Kids’ Cancer on behalf of Lucas Melnyk. Lucas is my cousins Grandson. He is 11 years old, has 3 siblings, one of which is a twin. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in April 2025. Lucas is facing challenges that no child should ever have to endure. His Mom, Connie, describes him as strong & brave with a sense of humour. He was recently allowed by a “fun” nurse to flush his line & draw blood. Lucas’s reaction “I’m just gaining all kinds of skills here” Connie is currently taking Lucas to Edmonton for treatment every 2 weeks from Bonanza, AB. Lucas, you are a MASSIVE inspiration to us all - I am proud to be riding for YOU this August ❤️

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
