My Story

27 Apr 2026

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

So for those wondering why I'm not travelling super far in a long time, I'm still battling knee and achillies issues. The resistance has to be lowered on my rides so it takes longer to "get" somewhere compared to younger, healthier days 😆 If I'm on my actual bike I'm in the middle to easiest range on my gears which basically feels like I'm spinning my wheels and getting nowhere fast....but hey I'm still moving so all is well! Oh and instead of riding on the ball of the foot I have to change it to stirrup style (middle of the foot on the pedal bar and ankle down) while feeling so right on horseback it feels so wrong cycling!!! Eh bien, maybe it's a call to get back in an actual saddle! Happy journies all, and it's never to late to join the challenge yourself!

Ok. So the ride was Aug 1st and I couldn't get this working until today. It was smoky in the morning so I went to the gym to ride that night. The first program I tried only let me cycle for 35 min. After that I chose a manual one, but it only allowed me to cycle for 65 min. The blog only allows me to upload one picture at a time so I'll load the second one on a new post.
