This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Did you know that Cancer is the largest killer of kids in Canada, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year. BUT....Childhood cancer is consistently underfunded, accounting for only FIVE per cent of all cancer research funding in Canada today. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it....

My biggest reason is personal - watching my little 5 year old nephew fight cancer has been heartbreaking. Benny lost his battle on May 24, 2019. He truly was a fighter and is our families role model. He was a warrior! On May 27 I saw his beautiful little face for the last time. I am more determined than ever to complete this Great Cycle Challenge.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help kids like Benny and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
