Elliana (Ellie)

This is Elliana (Ellie).This gorgeous little girl is starting her third cycle of long-term maintenance treatment at Sick Kid's hospital in Toronto. 4-year-old Ellie was diagnosed with leukemia in January 2021. She still feels nauseous and vomits once in a while from her ongoing maintenance treatment, but her mom told us that ‘it’s not stopping her from doing all the things she loves to do. With her leukemia diagnosis plus a whole global pandemic, Ellie has missed out on a lot of time just being a kid, but now she’s making up for it by getting back into her activities and having play dates with her friends. This August, I will be riding my bike again in the Great Canadian Cycle Challenge for this very special brave little girl. All funds donated go towards treatment and research for childhood cancer.

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for the third year.

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
