My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Keep on triking

I ride a trike named Smurfette, named by my husband. This is my second trike and I even had my first flat tire this week.

I have ridden over my goal of 100 kilometers and I am still wearing one of my jerseys and going out on Smurfette adding more kilometers.

Some days were smoky, other days I was having a swelling day. Having Lymphedema gives me bad days and better ones.

Fingers crossed I get a few more donations but at 70 I am happy to do something I enjoy while helping to hopefully end kids cancer.
