Well smoke got into my eyes a little. My N95 mask kept most of the smoke out of my lungs and I rode Smurfette today.
I have had cancer but not when I was a kid. I remember how hard it was to be sick and in the hospital as a child. It wasn’t fun and I can remember missing school and important events because I was sick.
This is the one thing I can do. I pedal to help fund cancer research to end childhood cancer.
This year with so many fires around the smoke keeps on coming. I will keep triking and keep going until I complete my kilometres.
At 70 this may be my last year of doing this ride and I won’t stop because smoke gets in my eyes
