Throughout the month of August I'll be riding 100 km to help raise funds for children battling cancer.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. I lost both of my maternal grandparents to cancer, so I know firsthand how deeply this disease impacts families. While my experience has shaped me, my heart especially goes out to the children who are facing a battle no child should ever have to fight.

Every week in Canada, three children lose their lives to cancer. It's heartbreaking. Children should be spending their days playing, learning, dreaming, and simply enjoying being kids, not enduring treatments and hospital stays.

My goal is to raise $1,000 to support the incredible work being done at SickKids, where researchers and healthcare teams continue to develop life-saving treatments and work toward a cure for childhood cancer.
