I'm Riding For
Dan Williamson, Dave Sharp and Nathalie Ghuman
It has been a rough few years. Dan, a wonderful brother, husband and father full of love and a special friend, lost his battle in June of 2022. My brother Dave, brother, father and husband, who is C-free but still battling. Nathalie, an incredible lady, mother and friend who got to the cancer free point last year. All three benefited from fantastic professionals and donations like yours. After being beside Dan at the end, I knew my ride is to help even one person.
My Story
This August, during a time where the world has seemed to stop, the two Steves are riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight cancer! My focus is clear, the needs are many.
1. With ultimate respect and love for my brother, Dan Williamson, who lost his fight in June 2022. Rest well, bro.
2. For a dear friend who has battled with this horrid disease and is now free of it, Nathalie Ghuman
3. For my little brother, Dave Sharp, who is cancer free after a significant surgery following early detection. Keep fighting, bro.
4. For all kids, who should never have to deal with this disease when they should be focused on playing in the sun.
Cancer is an insidious disease. We all know someone who has battled it. Over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada. In total, over 200,000 people are diagnosed and almost 100,000 die, in Canada, every year.
