My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Getting back on the “horse”!
20 Jul 2024July 20th - After physically(and mentally) recovering from my minor set back a couple of weeks ago, I was able to find a back-up bike… and the nerve…to get back on. New bike is too big so a bit awkward but I was still able to ride about 18kms today. I learned my lesson from last time- go early before the crowds!! Worked out much better.
Wore my shirt to try to bring some awareness(and maybe some donations!?)
After many failed attempts at taking a selfie to use for a post, I was finally brave enough to ask a nice lady to take one of me. Things you do for an important cause.

Scratching the surface!
7 Jul 2024July7- beautiful day for a ride! The waterfront trail was quite busy as a result. I tried to dodge the more competitive cyclers, the rollerbladers, the families and the dogs but in doing so my handlebars became loose and I lost control(Luckily only one person saw me go down!) Aside from a scratched leg and a bruised ego… I was fine and rode for 15 more kms(tightened my handlebars as much as I could but they will need professional help!)
