This August, I will be taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise money in the fight against childhood cancer.

As a father, this cause hits close to home. I cannot imagine what it would feel like to watch one of my children face a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and the uncertainty that comes with it. More than 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer in Canada every year, and cancer remains the leading cause of death from disease among Canadian children.

Kids should be riding bikes, playing with friends, exploring the world, and building memories with their families. They should not have to spend their childhood fighting for their lives.

I am using this challenge to do something meaningful: push myself on the bike while raising funds for SickKids Foundation and supporting the research, treatment, and care that can give children and their families more hope.

I would be grateful for any support you can provide. Every donation, regardless of size, helps move us closer to better treatments, better outcomes, and brighter futures for children facing cancer.
