In 2021 during the pandemic, I let my physical health deteriorate to the point I was at my heaviest weight in my life which impacted me both physically and mentally. As a result, I decided to invest in my personal health and got an indoor exercise bike.

The Great Cycle Challenge first came onto my radar at that time when my sister, Kristi Morrison, started the challenge. As it is for a great cause and would give me something to strive for in my riding journey, I decided to take part in the challenge that year.

With four years under my belt, I am very happy to say that I have ridden over 1,500 kms and have raised just under $14,000 for Sick Kids Foundation! Over these past four years, it has never ceased to amaze me how many people have touch points with this great organization and how generous everyone is!

This year, I am more than happy to continue participating in this great fundraiser and continue to be physically active and my goals will be to ride 200 kms and raise $1,500. Similar to previous years, Brooke and I will be happy to match all donations made up to $1,500.
