My Story
In 2021 during the pandemic, I let my physical health deteriorate to the point I was at my heaviest weight in my life which impacted me both physically and mentally. As a result, I decided to invest in my personal health and got an indoor exercise bike.
The Great Cycle Challenge first came onto my radar at that time when my sister, Kristi Morrison, started the challenge. As it is for a great cause and would give me something to strive for in my riding journey, I decided to take part in the challenge that year.
With two years under my belt, I am very happy to say that I have ridden over 1,000 kms and have raised over $6,500 for Sick Kids Foundation! Over these past couple of years, it has never ceased to amaze me how many people have touch points with this great organization and how generous everyone is!
This year, I am more than happy to continue participating in this great fundraiser and continue to be physically active. While I have tempered my riding goal this year to 250 km (as I continue my recovery from an ankle injury last year), I have decided to up the ante for my fundraising goal. With the recent birth of my first daughter, I want to ensure we raise funds so that this great organization can continue to provide much needed services to children throughout the province. With this in mind, we are very happy to match all pledges made this year up to $1,500! So, if you want to double your impact to a great organization, we invite you to donate!

Another Year in the Books
31 Aug 2023With it being August 31, another year of the Great Cycle Challenge has been completed. I am very happy to report that I have raised over $4,000 for Sick Kids this year and have met my riding goal of 250km for the month. Thank you to all those who supported Sick Kids with me again this year and made it another successful year. 100kms to Go! $10,000 raised!
12 Aug 2023As we approach the halfway mark of the month, I am now just 100km shy of my riding goal in Sick Kids’ Great Cycle Challenge. With some weekend rides, it should be smooth sailing to my 250km for the month.
More importantly however, following some generous donations, I am very happy to report I have raised over $4,000 this year once again surpassing my goal! At the same time, this has brought me to over $10,000 since starting the challenge three years ago. Thank you to everyone for your generous support to this fantastic cause.
