I'm Riding For
Family & friends touched by cancer
This is my 5th year to ride and raise funds for the Great Cycle Challenge. Every year this challenge touches my heart as more family & friends of all ages are diagnosed with cancer.
My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for the 5th year!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada. That works out to almost 5 families receive this news in Canada every day.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

5 Sep 2023Dear friends, much thanks to each of you who supported me in some way on my 2023 challenge. My success is only possible because of your support. The riding is easy but the great distance is meaningless to all the families experiencing cancer if there is no fundraising for research and cures. Thank you to all who have donated and to pet owners who trust me to provide excellent holiday care to there dogs. Thank you to everyone who keeps my bike going, helps me with social media, rides with me and all who encourage me by checking my IG and FB postings. My success has all been made possible by all of you. I will be back in 2024.

Crossed the goal line
28 Aug 2023A wild riding weekend of pouring rain and a flat tire causing me to end the ride 5 kms short if my goal. On Sunday l rode an old bike with a very painful seat for the total completion of 750km a day late. Sons got the tire repair done so l can ride some bonus kms on my comfy bike seat.
Thanks to everyone for encouraging, supporting and repairing for GCC success.
