My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada. Not only have I worked with children who are actively fighting cancer, but have also experienced the upheaval of having this disease - and witnessed them courageously receiving treatments when going for supportive treatments at the Ottawa Integrative Cancer center (OICC).
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Riding for Roxanne
31 Aug 2026Ride goal surpassed at 462.8 km/350 km goal, with one more day to go and have fundraised an all time high of $1011, thank you!!
Team Kick Childhood Cancer's Butt has put in quite the effort, too (see below), which we'd like to dedicate to a family friend, Roxanne, who lost her fight against cancer. She has been on our minds, and in our hearts, as we rode this year 🚲❤️

Growing in Stamina
10 Aug 2026If you asked me as a kid or a teen if I'd ever be able to do more than a piddly little ride, the answer would have been a hard no (was super prone to heat exhaustion and would frequently pass out).
I've been pushing myself to new heights, and my stamina is building, too!
Today was a pleasant trek from Parc Mousette to Carp and back 72 km. It was fun passing by other participants of the same challenge, clocking in some km's.
Raised my fundraising goal to $1000, too, because you guys are way too generous and passed my original goal of $500 within a few days. 😀
182km down and 162km to go to reach my 350km goal - let's do this!!
