She was just bestowed the title of “Ambassador” - and that’s a new level of pressure.

The Great Cycle Challenge for SickKids®, now in it’s 8th year, has appointed Karen Maxwell who has been been there since Day 1 to once again climb aboard her bicycle and seek your support to Fight Kids Cancer and live up to this lofty new (ceremonial, but still noteworthy) title.

Sure everyone hates the idea of kids cancer, but Karen hates it enough to bike nearly half the distance to Boston! Uphill, both ways, On 2 bad knees, just like Bobby Orr! (*Note Bobby Orr was a hockey player, not a cyclist, but most certainly hated Kids Cancer as much as Karen does)

Karen has a goal to ride 400km in the month of August and to raise $1,000 from friends and family along the way.

Simple arithmetic means that you can sponsor each one of those kilometres for just $2.50, where else can you get that kind of deal as we enter a post-pandemic hyper inflation economy?
