This summer, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.

I am dedicating my ride to a young girl who I went to school with at East Selkirk Middle School, her name is Darah Joseph. Darah was 12 years old when she was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, after breaking her leg running in a 100m sprint. Our school told us Darah's story, and of the trials and tribulations she faced in her fight with cancer. Darah passed away 2 years after her diagnosis due to a 4th relapse of her cancer at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg on August 18, 2013 at just 14 years old. It was Darah's last wish to have her tumors harvested and sent to the Children's Oncology Group for research purposes to help find a cure for this rare childhood cancer.

Today, I want to continue Darah's legacy in any way I can, so I am choosing to dedicate this fundraiser to her and her loved ones.

Please support me by making a donation to help give the 1700 children per year diagnosed with cancer a better chance, just as Darah had selflessly donated to help cancer researchers.
