2026 Challenge

ONE MONTH GOAL — OFFICIALLY CLOSED! 🎉💙

And just like that… August is officially DONE with the Great Cycle Challenge! 🚴‍♀️🔥

Of course, the LAST DAY had to come with a few little adventures 😂:

🚧 Closed pathways: Saw the signs… took the chance anyway. 😅 Thankfully, all was good and I made it through safely!

⛓️ Bike chain almost gave up on me: My chain decided it had enough for the month! 😂 Thankfully, I met an absolute angel, Doug, who happened to be out for a walk and bumped into me at exactly the right time. 🙏🏻❤️ He helped me get back on the road — talk about perfect timing and a true good Samaritan! 🚲👏

📱 Phone took a tumble: And because apparently 300 KM wasn’t enough drama… my phone fell face down! 😭💥 The screen protector took the hit and cracked, but THANKFULLY it saved the original screen! 🙏🏻😂 That screen protector definitely earned its keep today!

👟 Cleats officially retired: After 300 KM, my cleats have officially clocked out. 😂 They’ve served their purpose… time for a new pair!

💰 Raised: $257

🔥 FINAL: 300 KM!

✅ AUGUST: OFFICIALLY COMPLETE!

But beyond the kilometers, the biggest lesson from this challenge is that the ride is about something much bigger than me. 💙

Every pedal, every hill, every tired moment, and every little mishap reminded me why I started — to help support kids fighting cancer. 🎗️

Some days were easy, some were challenging, and some came with broken chains and cracked screen protectors 😂 — but kids battling cancer face challenges far greater than anything I experienced on my bike.

This challenge taught me that even when something feels difficult, we can keep moving forward when we have a purpose bigger than ourselves. And when we come together, every kilometer, every donation, and every word of encouragement can make a difference. ❤️🙏🏻

Again, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who supported, encouraged, cheered me on, and donated throughout my Great Cycle Challenge journey. Your kindness helped make every kilometer meaningful. 💙
