2026 Challenge
ONE MONTH GOAL β OFFICIALLY CLOSED! ππ
And just like thatβ¦ August is officially DONE with the Great Cycle Challenge! π΄ββοΈπ₯
Of course, the LAST DAY had to come with a few little adventures π:
π§ Closed pathways: Saw the signsβ¦ took the chance anyway. π Thankfully, all was good and I made it through safely!
βοΈ Bike chain almost gave up on me: My chain decided it had enough for the month! π Thankfully, I met an absolute angel, Doug, who happened to be out for a walk and bumped into me at exactly the right time. ππ»β€οΈ He helped me get back on the road β talk about perfect timing and a true good Samaritan! π²π
π± Phone took a tumble: And because apparently 300 KM wasnβt enough dramaβ¦ my phone fell face down! ππ₯ The screen protector took the hit and cracked, but THANKFULLY it saved the original screen! ππ»π That screen protector definitely earned its keep today!
π Cleats officially retired: After 300 KM, my cleats have officially clocked out. π Theyβve served their purposeβ¦ time for a new pair!

π₯ FINAL: 300 KM!
β AUGUST: OFFICIALLY COMPLETE!
But beyond the kilometers, the biggest lesson from this challenge is that the ride is about something much bigger than me. π
Every pedal, every hill, every tired moment, and every little mishap reminded me why I started β to help support kids fighting cancer. ποΈ
Some days were easy, some were challenging, and some came with broken chains and cracked screen protectors π β but kids battling cancer face challenges far greater than anything I experienced on my bike.
This challenge taught me that even when something feels difficult, we can keep moving forward when we have a purpose bigger than ourselves. And when we come together, every kilometer, every donation, and every word of encouragement can make a difference. β€οΈππ»
