For the last couple of years I have participated in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer with some colleagues. Right now, over 1,700 kids are being diagnosed with cancer every year in Canada, and to me - this is unimaginable. This challenge means so much more this year though.

On Sunday, August 4th, a teammate went out on his ride to raise money for this great cause and didn’t return home - he passed away while on his ride, doing what he felt was making a difference in the world. He truly did make a difference.

This cause was so important to him, that it has become our Stonhard team’s privilege to continue the fight in his honour.

So this year I am raising funds to help these kids in Pierre’s honour, and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
