Lyle Dargavel

My brother, Lyle, passed away from cancer in 2023. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. During his illness, he told me that whenever he did something he enjoyed, he experienced it as if it might be the last time he would ever do it. I adopted that mindset, and now, whatever I do, I take the time to look around and appreciate every moment of this precious life. I miss him a lot.

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
