Hi, my name is Vainavi, and this August I'm taking on the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Cancer is something my family knows all too well. I watched my grandmother fight it, and I saw firsthand how much strength it takes and how much it means to have people showing up for you. That's a big part of why this cause is so close to my heart.

Right now, over 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer every year, making it the leading cause of death by disease among kids. No child should have to spend their childhood fighting for their life instead of living it.

So this August, I'll be getting on my bike to raise funds for SickKids Foundation, supporting their work to develop better treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
