I'm Riding For
Raimo Ray Lindroos
In memory of my grandfather, Raimo Ray Lindroos. He was one of the strongest men I’ve ever known and someone I looked up to throughout my life. Watching cancer take him from our family was heartbreaking. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. His strength, kindness, and the memories we shared continue to inspire me. This ride is for him, and for every family who has had to watch someone they love battle cancer. I miss you, Papa.
My Story
This August, I’m challenging myself to ride 250 km as part of the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer.
I’m doing this in memory of my grandfather, Raimo Ray Lindroos, and to support children and families facing battles far tougher than any bike ride.
I’m not an avid cyclist, which makes this challenge a little intimidating, but that’s part of why I signed up. If these kids can face cancer with courage, I can push myself outside my comfort zone for a month.
Every dollar raised goes to SickKids Foundation to help fund research, treatments, and support programs for children fighting cancer.
