My Story

Next month, April and I are embarking, for the second time, on a 250km journey in the Great Cycle Challenge Canada to fight kids' cancer, an endeavor that holds a personal significance for me. As April's dad, I've witnessed firsthand the immense courage and resilience needed to battle this devastating disease.

It was just a few years ago that our radiant star, April, was diagnosed with Infant Leukemia. Her journey, marked with potent chemotherapy treatments, highlighted the bravery and undeniable risk these brave children face. Despite the immense challenge, April turned her personal trials into communal triumphs, raising $6000 for SickKids in the midst of her own treatment during last year's challenge!

Now, more than ever, I'm reminded that over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year in Canada. Our 250km challenge will be tough, but it pales in comparison to the relentless battle these kids and their families endure every day.

Kids, like April, should be living life, not spending their days fighting for it!

I'm riding to honor April's journey and to help other children who are facing similar trials. Together, we can end childhood cancer and save little lives.
