  “Thank you so much for your donation to Great Cycle Challenge! I am so proud to be part of this challenge and to ride my butt off for such a worthy cause. This year's cause hit close to my heart. My best friend Brian granddaughter Palmer, was born on August 01, 2023. Doctors discovered a growth on her kidney in uterero. 2 days after she was born an MRI was done, the growth was diagnosed as a 1.8 cm Neuroblastoma on Palmer's adrenal gland. This type of cancer is found in 800 babies each year. Early detection is essential in following up on the development and awareness to be able to treat this growth with surgery and chemotherapy if the tumor shows signs of growth. This year I ride for Palmer, sore knee and back arthritis joints, fibromyalgia almost kept me from joining this year. Then, I decided I could scale back to a shorter distance and not overstress my body. I have been praying that this Neuroblastoma shrinks and leaves Palmer cancer free. 🙏💜🚴‍♀️”

His sweet newborn Palmer was born August 01 with a Neuroblastoma. A 1.8 centimeter tumor on her adrenal gland. Sadly, this type of cancer afflicts 800 children each year, they are born with a tumor that can be life threatening. The odds have increased, due to early detection and research. The bike is riding great, thanks to Jim for fixing it for me so I can ride my butt off, and raise money for this cause! This means so much to me 🙏👼💜🚴‍♀️”
