This August, I am once again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? There are quite a few reasons - because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from any disease in Canada. Another motivating factor comes from my mother, Barbara McCarron, who spent the latter part of her working life counselling children with terminal diseases and their families. I honestly have no idea where she found the strength to keep going - regardless she is all the example I need to keep on going adding to my kilometers and surpassing the distance I had planned. I'm sure that, like myself, you feel that all kids should be living life, not having to fight every day for it. I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer. With that in mind I'm asking you all to please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
