This August, I’ll be taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge for the 6th year to fight kids’ cancer.

Why? Because over 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer every year. It remains the #1 disease-related killer of children in this country, and that reality is simply unacceptable.

Almost five years ago, on June 9th, I lost my father suddenly to this horrible disease. He was one of my biggest supporters when I first started riding in 2020, and I carry his encouragement with me every single year. He believed deeply that kids should be living life, not fighting for it and I ride in honor of that belief.

So once again, despite a few challenges of my own, I’m raising funds to support SickKids Foundation and their work to develop better treatments and ultimately find a cure for childhood cancer.
