Cancer is the largest children killing disease in Canada with over 1,700 children being diagnosed every year.

It's incredibly hard to hear this statistic & not feel a sense of helplessness.

But, with the challenge it feels like a spark of hope; & every ember helps this fight.

That's why I do this; it keeps me pushing so that those kids get a chance to be kids & have some semblance of normalcy.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

The second year that I did this there was an email that was sent out with the stats of all the riders & all the milestones we hit; It was crazy to think about how many KMs we all rode together & just the sheer amount of money that was raised.

One of the stats was how many kids didn't win their battles.

I was plagued by one thought & it's never really left.

"I could have done more."

This fire feel like a loosing battle because the winds are strong; but that doesn't mean we should let it be.

We need to keep building this & with building this I know that your support will change these little lives.
