I'm Riding For

Betty Gooding and Xavier Garrett

I ride in honour of my mother Betty Gooding who lost her battle with cancer back in 2008 and I think of her everyday. I also ride in honour of Xavier Garrett when last year (2024) I learned of Xavier of Woodstock, Ont who was just shy of his eighth birthday when he lost his battle with brain cancer. Carla, Xavier’s mother made a generous donation to my campaign in hopes of sparing other parents their devastation on the loss of their precious son Xavier.

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
