My Story

7 Aug 2026

This August, I am participating in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for the 4th time.

Over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer yearly, making this, the biggest disease killer of children in Canada.

Kids should not be fighting for their lives.

Please consider helping me make a positive difference. Through your support. Let's give these children a chance at life, together 🙏 👼

Thank you 🙏

“Dear Garron Family, Thank you for helping boost confidence as we work to match our goals through donors and kilometers traveled. As August days grow fewer, doubts can creep in, but your kindness uplifts our spirits and strengthens our team. Your rare generosity is truly inspiring. Money provides vital help, and there is no better gift than giving to children dreaming of wellness. The resilience and joyful faces of these kids inspire us all. While finding sponsors is challenging, our past success reminds us of what faith can achieve. I am deeply sorry about Michael. He was clearly a dream come true and remains an angel and an inspiration. Many of us ride in his memory and for all children under the SickKids Foundation umbrella. We hope these kids live to tell their stories and one day join this challenge themselves. May God bless your family with great health and a beautiful life for your love, commitment, and incredible generosity. 🙏 Thank you!”

“Dear Anonymous Donor. I have never quite encountered someone so high on work, life, responsibilities, family, and others' well-being. I have been impressed from day one, and I believe that feeling will continue. Thank you for sharing this dream to help others with me. This, especially where it counts the most. There are so many areas we could think, but this will make us both better people. May you and your family always be healthy, safe, and blessed. Thank you 🙏 🤗 💕”

“Johnny, Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness. Thanks to your donation, I have surpassed my funds commitment. I can not imagine what it is like being a child, questioning whether tomorrow will take place. Surely, there are no commitments for them, but there is always the wanting to be like the other healthy kids wanting to live, be strong, special, and loved. You are helping reshape their lives. We are really a team. One that you are not committed to. You do this from your heart, as your heart tells you. I am truly happy we can do this together, and I am honored as well. Thank you for your generosity, reliability, and kindness. Be well, and God bless you and your loved ones 🙏”

“What you’re doing this year is truly meaningful. Even when things didn’t go as planned, you still found a way to show up and support childhood cancer research. That kind of commitment and heart makes a real impact. You’re proving that no matter what life throws our way, there’s always a way to help others and you’re an amazing example of that.”

“Dear Anonymous Donor. It is people like you that inspire those like me to keep on going. The outcome comes from the team and that includes you, perhaps you are the most important factor. Without those caring and generous people like you, there will be absolutely no rescue of this magnitude in place. Together, we make the difference. Together we see more of the change we would like to see in this world. Thank you kindly for your generous donation. May God always keep you and your family healthy, safe and enjoying life. Be well.”

“Thank you Kerop and Suzy for your kindness! It is great to always be surprised by those you trully value. Those who made a great impression from day one. I am very thankful for your support in this cause that brings so many together as we try to help out little people with big hope. After all, veryone deserves to experience a proper childhood and good health. I am getting better, a day at a time, and restored my static bicycle so I could ride straighter. An ice pack on the back, some tensors to keep it straighter and commitment time begins. May God keep you and your family healthy and safe. Thank you!”

“The wellbeing of the beautiful little people is partly in our hands. My heart is with each one of them. I cannot imagine being a kid who happens to know he/she may not make it. Our contributors, the archangels and us, angels ride to make this endeavor favorable. Thank you "all" for participating in this wonderfully engineered GCCC event, bringing rewards to the hearts of so many. Be safe, be mindful and be strong. My perspective different while hospitalized. I have seen little kids and adults in great pain. Some awaiting hospice or a spiritual leader. I am gere as a result of an infection June 12, followed my bicycle accident of July 1st with limited mobility. I will put all my energy into getting well again, this a passage of my life. One I could have never imagined. Whilst all looked so simple, methods took all this to another level. I keep my faith and pray to God that my new normal will allow me to ride full strength and healthy.”
