Phillip Northrop

Phillip is a kid at heart, and has been battling cancer for years. He just recently was struck by a truck while cycling. He is going to be laid up while his broken ribs and collar bone heals. Not to mention a punctured lung. He is a tough old bird. I think this may be the 3rd time he has been struck by a vehicle. I think he has earned a tribute for this year.

My Story

2 Aug 2023

In 2011 I rode in the Ride to Conquer Cancer from Vancouver to Seattle. That was a scheduled ride, being on a specific weekend and minimum donations had to total $2,500. That was a great ride for a great cause and glad I did it. However, the Great Cycle Challenge offered more flexibility for ALL riders! You set your own goals as to donations and distance and have the entire month of August to book your rides. I myself am not an avid, full time rider, so I love that it's open to all levels. Because this is my seventh year I was offered the opportunity to be a "Champion" which means I will help promote the program and recruit new riders. Please join me for an opportunity to do something for the kids!
