My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

“Thank you so much! Today I finished my Sick Kids Hospital Great Cycle Challenge. After 23 rides and 1002 kms, with your encouragement I finally reached my goal. There was a wonderful feeling of support knowing that all of you, my sponsors, were helping with this campaign. It was 9 years ago that I started riding in this endeavour. Having the feelings of losing my wife Diane to a brain tumour I simply can not imagine the pain of having a child with this monstrous disease. Thank you so much for your support with your donation. Hopefully there will come a day when cures will be found. Sadly, it seems to take mountains of donations like yours to research the various cures. Advances are being made but there are still too many sad stories. Again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your part in this challenge”
