My grandson Arden would be 15 years old this summer. Cancer robbed him of seeing his 11th birthday. We must help in the battle to fight kids’ cancer, so other families do not have to suffer the loss of a loved one. Breakthroughs are happening each year with new research. This August I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why?

On Easter Sunday 2020, neuroblastoma took my grandson, Arden, from us. His courage, strength and spirit during his 5 year battle was inspiring and humbling. He lost his battle, but through research I know the war against children’s cancer can be won. Right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So, in memory of Arden, I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
