This August, I'm back for my fourth year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.

This year feels more personal than ever.

A few weeks ago, our family lost someone very dear to us to cancer. Watching someone you love go through this disease is heartbreaking. It reminds you how devastating cancer is; not only for those diagnosed, but for everyone who loves them.

And then I think about the children facing that same battle.

Every year, more than 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer. It's still the number one disease-related cause of death among children in our country. No child should have to spend their childhood in hospitals, enduring treatments, or fighting for their life.

That's why I'm riding again.

Every kilometre I ride is dedicated to these incredibly brave kids and to supporting the amazing work of the SickKids Foundation. The funds raised help advance life-saving research, improve treatments, and bring hope to families facing the unimaginable.
