In Loving Memory of My Dad This year, I am also dedicating my challenge to my dear dad, who is now resting peacefully in heaven. He was a wonderful, loving father who worked tirelessly to support our family and always put others before himself. He was a true warrior who faced every challenge with strength, courage, and grace. Three years ago, we lost him to kidney cancer. Although he is no longer with us, his love, resilience, and the values he instilled in our family continue to inspire me every day. Dad, this ride is for you. You are forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts. ❤️
My Story
This August, I'm once again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to help fight kids' cancer.
Every year, more than 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer, and it's the leading cause of disease-related death among children. Kids should be making memories, chasing their dreams, and simply enjoying life—not battling cancer.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, I know firsthand how difficult the journey can be. Even so, I can't imagine what it must be like for a child to face cancer and everything that comes with it. That's why this cause means so much to me.
I'm raising funds in support of SickKids Foundation to help advance lifesaving research, develop better treatments, and move us closer to a future where no child has to face this disease.
