This August, I’m riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to help fight childhood cancer and support the incredible work being done at SickKids Foundation.

Every year, more than 1,700 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer. It’s heartbreaking. These kids should be making memories, going to school, playing with friends, and simply enjoying being children — not spending their days in hospitals fighting for their lives.

That’s why this ride means so much to me.

Throughout August, I’ll be challenging myself on the bike to raise funds that help SickKids continue life-saving research, develop better treatments, and bring hope to families facing the unimaginable.
