I am a family physician who has seen the devastating effects of cancer at all stages of life. I am riding in honour of my mom, who died of ovarian cancer two years ago. This was a photo of her 2 months before she passed away. I can only imagine what these kids and their families go through during a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Childhood is supposed to be a time of learning and play, not of recovery from serious illness! If I can ride my bike and inspire people to make a donation to Sick Kids to help prevent these illnesses, then ride I will! Thank you for your donation!

My Story

This June, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
