My Story
I want to make a difference. So here I am a MIMI, Gmother, to an 11 and a 6 year old boy. They are loud, lively,greatly loved and importantly, they are healthy. I am blessed. Today, there is a child in hospital undergoing treatment for Cancer and parents are worried in a way I cannot imagine.It makes me ask ‘what can I do to support them?’.
This August I ride again in the Great Cycle Challenge for the 7th year hoping that my contribution added to others will make a BIG difference.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation as they continue their work in developing treatments for childhood cancer. Your support will change little lives and all you have to do is put your hand in your wallet and I will clock the KMs.

Day 2.
2 Aug 2024By the end of this ride my legs were like noodles.. no..wait, make that Fettuccine. Sounds more exotic. I left it a bit late due to the rain, but just in time to dice with death amongst the long weekend traffic. I suppose a cycle lane is a difficult concept. That big bike painted on it and all. I can see the confusion…. Not. I still had an awesome ride on my bike again today. Saw a large black snake, a hawk ( bit close for comfort)and so many pretty flowers. A good day. Not a good day for so many at Sick kids. Let’s get those donations made. Let’s make a difference. Let’s respect those bike lanes.

First day and first ride. It was awesome.
1 Aug 2024This was an early morning ride to beat the heat.I have to say that in watching the Olympics, well done Canada gymnasts, well done Simone Biles,I had a new spring to my step. Although it is not my step that aches at the end of a ride. If you get my drift.
The morning was still fresh. I saw a chipmunk,baby rabbits and a collection of morning runners.
It’s a great day to support this amazing cause. Just donate your coffee money for one week. A little from many goes along way. Tomorrow I ride again. Join me in making a difference.
