I'm Riding For
Gidget
Although Gidget was in fact a dog and not a human, she was still part of my family and I miss her so so much because sadly my family and I lost her in the fight of cancer. She was an amazing dog and will forever be loved and missed. I hope to ride so a lot of kids and others can win their battle!
My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
In addition, I’m riding in memory of my beloved dog Gidget who passed away from lymphoma at the age of 7, she had so much life ahead of her but she lost her fight to cancer.
SickKids hospital is near and dear to my heart because they saved my eye (not from cancer though)
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
