I started cycling for GCC 3 years ago when I found out one of the people closest to my heart had months to live. I don't know if I can ever explain to watch someone you love in pain and there isn't anything you can do to help. I went into a dark space at first and temporary bandaids which only made my heart hurt more. The great Canadian Cycle Challenge came into my feed and I signed up without really being much of a biker. I asked the kids I work with how many km's I should do, they said 900km haha I thought that was a piece of cake until I road my first 30km and realized how actually far that is.

Within this it didn't take my pain away but I feel put my hard energy and turned into something that can help someone else.

Every hill I climb and every km it will be to honour those lives we've lost and stand with those brave kids still fighting to survive. These kids won't give up, and neither will I.

My goal is to fund life-saving research to develop safer and more effective treatments, and find cures for all childhood cancers.

Because kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.
