I'm riding to support my daughter's experience with cancer and its impact on her life and all of our lives. When she was first diagnosed, it was a shock and eventually a challenge to fight back while trying to remain hopeful. She continues to fight back, and thanks to her and her team of oncologists, surgeons and nursing professionals, she's recovering. Each day still presents challenges, physical and mental, for her and everyone close to her, but the positive spirit persists.

The fight against osteosarcoma has come a long way since Terry Fox. Thanks to medicine, science and the perseverance of all those fighting this cancer, progress has been made to help those fighting it today. Our personal experiences with cancer will always differ, from the individual with cancer to the immediate friends and family. But what will not change is the desire to fight and push back against cancer. This ride and fundraising is my small part in helping that fight and push back against cancer.
