June is over, July is here and August will be here before we know it, so let's do this! I’m back to ride for another year in the Great Cycle Challenge in August. I usually start with low goals and surpass them, but this year I’m just going to start with my results from last year as my goal, well, not really, my goal is to surpass what I did last year! 1,010 kms and $1,018! The good news is I’ll do all the riding, and you can help me with the fundraising! Make a donation, share my GCCC page with your family, friends and colleagues! This ride is raising funds to help kids fight much more than any challenge you or I have ever had to deal with, and as you’ve heard numerous times here, “kids should be living life, not fighting for it”!

I love cycling and I love that I can use it to help children in their fight against cancer, the largest killer of children from disease in Canada. If you know me, you know I prefer to participate in fundraisers related to kids. My profile shows a 6 year legacy, but this year is only my 4th time riding in this challenge, my first year in 2019 I rode 1,008 km and raised $935, but my ride was cut short due to an unrelated concussion, another concussion and four lost years due to those concussions and I finally got back to riding in 2024 and again in 2025! As I said, I rode 1,010km and raised $1,018 last year!! So this year, with your help, WE CAN DO BETTER for these kids!

Thank you to those who supported me last year, shared my posts on Facebook, encouraged me to get out on my bike, and met up with me during a ride… it all helped me to get out every day and do it! And thank you to those who have donated in the past - you’re the champs of this challenge!
